I remember those boats. To me, a lot of noise but I wasn't old enough to know it was objectionable. Mostly at the Weirs. We thought Alton Bay was pretty stodgy unless you liked to roller skate.

PUC Chart
I have a 1962 chart; laminated, folds in half and wee still use it. Much easier to read when you're underway since there is so much less clutter compared to more contemporary charts. Someday, we'll...
