How's the fishing on Winni? I'm still fishing in CT, catching a whole lot of bass. I want to come up to NH one more time before it get's too cold.

Small Mouth Bass
Just finished our two week vacation at Winni... For the most part, the fishing was awesome. Smallies were big, real big. Caught some rock bass, a pickerel, etc... But the smallies were awesome. Sad...

Rock Bass most certainly effect small mouth and large mouth populations. At Lake Sunapee, they have taken over the lake. It's hard to find anything else. That's why I usually don't throw any rock...

We vacation at Winni. I've been noticing that the lake is not iced in yet. Of course, the warm weather has been a factor. Does anyone remember if the lake has not frozen over before?
