New to boating this year, bought a 270

Tons of room, lots of storage, very few problems:)

Setting Stern Anchor

Do you have a length of chain on your stern anchor.
If not, add a piece of 4' - 5' 5/8" chain onto your anchor, that will help it sink and bite when you try to set it.

I've had decent luck...

I was aware of the pet restrictions @MVYC, nice place ... strange that owners can bring pets in, but renters can't.
