What happened to Moxie?

Yesterday my daughter-in-law bought me a bottle of Moxie. It was the first time that I have had one since maybe 1960. I was never much a fan of Moxie because of that medicinal bitter after taste....

Handy Landing radio ads

I remember back in the fifties when WLNH was an AM station, 1350 AM. Every morning we would hear the radio ads for Handy Landing. Always advertising Quoddy Moccasins.

The marina was built by Spanos and Rugg in 1960 shortly after they bought the park from the Jones family. Those pictures were taken in the 30's.

That well was said to be over 300 feet deep. Don't think that the seepage from the johns ever contaminated it. Never heard of anyone getting sick from the water.
