Do you know that 4 Seasons still allows weekly rentals? As the OP stated, many are going to 30 day minimum, which all but eliminates the opportunity for vacation rental income.

At $5,000.00 a season, buying makes sense and I would do as you did. I am not ready for that commitment. Just an opinion....I expect this to be a great year, next year I think a big dip will happen.
