las Pinatas???? Gone??
Have we lost Las Pinatas in Laconia....did it move??? :(
|
?
Nobody answers the phone - but the message states that they are open for lunch Tues-Sat 11-2 and dinner 7 days a week 5-9.
Maybe they look closed if you aren't driving by during biz hours? |
Closed....
Their sign is now gone...the place appears empty...and at 6:15 this evening the message is all that remains. Seems like no one is home. Looks final to me?? See you at Tio Juan's Margaritas....:liplick::liplick::liplick:

Yes, I walk by their restaurant to where I park my car, and I noticed yesterday that it was all cleared out and no signs left.
While I love Mexican food, the two times I ate there led me to not want to go back - there was no spicing to the food - totally bland. The lost business is sad, but the restaurant will not be much missed by me. Anyone know where there is a decent Mexican restaurant within 20 miles of Laconia? (Not a chain - don't even mention the Taco Bell's, etc.) |
if "by boat" counts..

Crazy Gringo's..Weirs Strip. Fantastic Marg's (in a mason jar)....very good Mex food. Fun place to go, especially if you enjoy a cocktail or three. Don't let all the bikes out front throw you off...the food is very good here, and the wait staff very friendly. |
Crazy Gringo!!

This place is a gem in my opinion. Do not judge the book by the cover!! Great food, great drink and great service.....and you can get there by boat! R2B |
A couple of weeks ago they had a sign up saying they were closed for renovations, but I walked by today with the dog and that sign is gone along with their regular signs. I looked in and it looks awfully bare in there, just tables and chairs.

Closed for renovations.
That is the new bar just below Crazy Gringo in the old Carlson's Arcade building. It is still empty.

Laconia Sun Today
The newspapers finally caught up to the forum! On page 8 on the Sun today:
Las Pinatas closes "LACONIA — Las Pinatas, an eatery that was located in the former railroad depot at Veterans Square, has closed after serving authentic Mexican cuisine for nearly two decades. “It’s closed already, it’s time to move on,” said founder and owner Armando Lezama, when reached by phone. He said he appreciated the interest, but declined to comment further." |
