Eagles
This morning a bald eagle and a golden eagle competed for a dead fish left behind at a bob house near us. The golden eagle totally dominated the encounter, being larger and more aggressive than the bald eagle. Here are some photos:

Awesome pictures DRH.
Another thing I thought fascinating about your pictures were the large ice flow build up at the shoreline. |
Great pictures!
Thanks for sharing them. I remember last year the golden moved the bald eagles off the dead deer in Alton Bay as well. It must be tough being a bald eagle in Alton! Thanks again, R2B |
Incredible!!!!
Fantastic pictures. Thank you for sharing them. Where were they taken? Any suggestions for the best times, locations and days of the week for such sightings?

We've seen bald and golden eagles around here a number of times before, so we believe they must live in this general area. |
cool stuff
Great shots, DRH. Think it would help to put up a sign: "Can't we all just get along?????" :rolleye1:

Bird stuff
Great Photos. There are severall other bird cams that are really cool. The www.palemale.com site in NYC for redtail hawks Pale Male and Lola. The photos taken by Lincoln are totally breathtaking and go back several years. Another site is www.kodak.com, where the livecam for Mariah and Kaver, the peregrine falcons in Rochester exists. Last year they had 6 eggs, although only 4 hatched and matured. No wonder they call me the Bird Dork! I was driving down Parade Road toward Laconia about a month ago and an adult Bald Eagle was just swooping overhead. I nearly had an accident in my haste to get to the side of the road and watch this truly elegant bird.
