I love this new format, but being an ole geezer it sure will take some time to teach me all the new tricks. Had to put the one with glasses as today is the first day with sun in many a days.

Great to see the *Mike* back on

Mike,
Are you and John still her or in the south land? Haven't seen you around on the net. I haven't been down by the residence for sometime. Right now home in bed with one hell'ava cold. I have never had a cold like this. This new site has alot of new paths one can follow and it does take time to follow and get use to each and every one of them. Say hi to John and dad from the ole geezer. :)
PS Whoops, didn't notice the address in the heading. My best to you all and hope everything goes well with the 3 of ya. keep me posted as to what is up with you guys. :D

Love this new forum!

I am absolutely thrilled with the new forum layout, and all the wonderful features! Don, you continue to amaze us all with your talent and dedication to your "hobby". You do so much to bring us all together, and we are all grateful for your efforts. It just keeps getting better and better! Thanks!!! :D

Sorry to say

I am sorry to say I find the new site to combersome. The other format was a get on and get off format. Made it very easy to get into see what's going on then log off and head to work.
Sorry MHO
I will try to get use to it IF I HAVE TIME

Sorry to say

DLBIV,
I was very overwhelmed at first. Now I am getting more comfortable each time I log on. Just give it a chance and get the feel of it. You will be hopping off and on quickly in no time. If I can navigate around, anyone can!

Do not need to login to have a look-see...

You do not have to login to read the Forum or view PhotoPost - only to post or edit.

You can even add a grumpy face  ; but life's so bright, I have to add a shades face to the title...

Great site. I am retired but vacation in Florida and look forward to visiting the site every day to find out what is going on around the lake.

New Forum too cumbersome!

I find the new format of the Forum is not user friendly there are too many different steps for someone who is not a computer wizard.

I felt that way the first time I saw it. .. Then I started to look aroud  .. after clicking a bunch of stuff to see what would happen I kind started to feel comfortable. ... pssst,... don't tell Don but I am beginning to like the new look :) :) I really like the avatars a lot of people are using.

Here is a hint to get around quick, when you log on to the forum click "New Posts" at the top. You will have a list of threads that have new posts since your last visit. Next to the name on each thread just click on the little check mark and it takes you to the first unread message in the thread. The browser "back button takes you back to the list.

True Words

If you liked the old forum all you have to do is click new posts and it reads similar to the old forum if you had your preferences set up to only display new messages since last visit on the old site. I like it I think it is a more organized forum.

Love the new forum format. Thanks for updating it. At first I was a bit hesitant on how to use it but within a day it was really easy to pick up and understand. Thankswebmaster.

I like it too!

At first I thought that the new forum was confusing, but now I do like it. It's easier to see the most recent posts ... I haven't explored its other features yet! :)
