Belmont to Pittsburg

We are looking to plan a multi day trip from Belmont NH to Pittsburg NH. We will be stopping and spending the night somewhere halfway. Anyone ever made the trip? Any thoughts? Suggestions?

We rode from Concord to Berlin a few years ago, took about 6 hours and we weren't riding hard. Whitefield might be a good stopping point, how many days are you planning on?

Town & Country in Gorham is sled friendly and right on the trail. You might be able to find a house on the trail as well.

Gorham

Gorham is very 'sled' friendly. Think of Gorham the Pittsburg of the east coast.

I have traveled from Laconia to Montreal back in the days. C'est la Vie!
Sleds back then were cantankerous compared to modern sleds, we had a van with parts and supplies with us. As well as a top notch mechanic!

You should be able to do the trip to Gorham or Pittsburg in a day. Whitefield is a great place to stop. I remember the Kimball Hill Inn with the model train travelling around the dining room near the ceiling!

I can recall renting a log home in the wood between Gorham and Pittsburg, it was a carry in, carry out trip. We had to supply our own propane and wood. That was fun!

What I remember the most about the Canadian stretch is the 'super trails'. Straight as an arrow, groomed to perfection, and no speed limits! I would open up the Nitro 440 until the belt blows! I had to bring a number of them!
The Jags will over heat and the 'Yellow Dogs' just can't keep up, but reliable as heck! The were other makes, the least reliable machines were the 'Rudes'.

Have fun on your trip!
