Was trying to find the thread on the Center Harbor establishment that used to be the old baygull.

Sign went up a couple of days ago: Center Harbor Provision
Anyone know their offerings to be?

I heard it will be offering some nice high end quality sandwiches and brick oven pizza among other things.

When will it open?

Looks like it will be in direct competition with Piccolo's 1/2 mile up the street, though it has a significant advantage of being close to the beach/docks. It'll have to be pretty good to beat Piccolo's where I had the best sausage and pepper sub on a fresh-baked roll last week.

I am crossing my fingers on their PIZZA.

Last good Pizza left town when ILVIOS moved to Wolfeboro.

Any transplants form the Quincy, Ma area remember the ROMAN GARDENS on the Southern Artery? BEST EVER!!!!

Pork Belly??? are they open yet???

I went by here on Monday and popped my head it, girl at the counter told me thursday, which is today. I am so excited. First thing I asked them "are you associated with common man"? she replied "no" I replied with "thank christ".... girl probably thought I was nuts !!!!

If anyone hits it up let me know, I'm a masshole and won't be up till tomorrow....

C'mon, that's not fair. Piccollo's pizza is excellent and Pat's isn't bad either.

Not that I do not like Piccollo's Pizza, you need to acquire a taste for it. It's a totally different flavor than any Pizza you are used to in the Lakes Region.

As for Pat's we have had a couple of "SOGGIE" pies from them. I usually ask to go "LIGHT on the SAUCE.

This week I had one of the most enjoyable Pizzas I have had in a long time. You will never guess where we had it. Weirs Beach at the "HALF MOON" Pizza shop. It's part of the HALF MOON Arcade.

Fresh homemade dough every morning, plenty of cheese and a good tomato Sauce.

They opened this morning. Stopped in for an early lunch and got a Tony Soprano to go. The sandwich was excellent. Service was a bit slow, but that is to be expected on the first day. The interior is well done, bright and clean and there are some interior seats – not a lot. The deli case in the front part of the store had not yet been stocked. The building is a vast change from its former life as the bagel place. Wish them every success. Should have tried their rosemary fries. Next time.

Though I'll have to look closely to find something I like on the menu, I am hoping like heck this place is great--excellent location for us to grab on the way by and, though I like Pat's (haven't tried Piccolo's yet), I'm looking for variety and something new. Good luck, new peeps!

Just ordered two sandwiches, they said 20 minutes so off we go to try it out...

Follow up...the sandwiches were great. We will return

We had just been to breakfast so we didn't get anything but stopped in to check it out. There is still work going on but so far so good. We talked to Brittney(sp?) and she told us that they will have a lot of salads and meals ready to go in the deli case eventually. They are focusing on using top quality ingredients. Pizza oven going in for the fall? I asked her to post on the forum when she gets a chance. It was already on her todo list. The menu looks great and the prices seem reasonable. We will check it out soon. We are only about 2 minutes away so it could easily become a go to place.

Went by this am and saw the flag so I decided to check it out. Got a breakfast burrito and it was quite good! It is made fresh right there so there is a bit of a wait. They did a great job with the inside as well. Brick oven pizza will come later. I wish them the best and I will definitely return...but I will wait until after the holiday chaos is over.

Completely agree, I was surprised as could be it was that good.

It was my only reason for thinking to go there!

As for a sandwich, don't think anyone can beat JoJo's Italian Sub especially with the marinated Onions

My way NO Peperoni, EXTRA Provolone, Tomato, Marinated Onions and oil. What makes it all is the Beget. I usually cut it in halve and finish it the next day. Maybe even for breakfast. :liplick::liplick::liplick:

Stopped in on Friday and sounds like it was the first day being open. Long line so we didn't wait. The menu looks great and the inside smells of a wood cabin and was filled with fresh flowers. I plan to try them out and hope they are very successful.

Ordered when we got off exit 23 today but, after getting there and still waiting 15 minutes--for a total of 45 minutes--the food still wasn't ready. Took 50 minutes to get three sandwiches and two orders of fries. When asked for a discount or something to make good for the ridiculous wait, the person in charge just tried staring my friend down. We can't tell if he was horrible at customer service or just totally overwhelmed.

As for the food: we had Mayflower sandwiches and a Nutty Buddy burger with rosemary fries. We all agreed the food was very good, the prices were reasonable (though a little thin on the fries for $4),http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...aa525c67cb.jpg and that the place deserves a second shot in some time, when they (hopefully) get things figured out.

If this customer service becomes the norm--all they had to do was apologize instead of throwing attitude--we won't go back. Hoping for the best!

Are the owners from out of state?
Do they own the property or is this a rent/lease?

Opinion:
I just can't see such a large investment going into a sandwich shop in such a small footprint in a very seasonable business.

Does anyone think that the owners put together any kind of business plan?

Hard to think someone would put that kind of money into a business if they didn't think it would prosper. I haven't eaten yet here but did stop in during fireworks evening and they did a great job. It also doesn't look like they expect a seasonal business. Prices are reasonable so if the food is good I think they can survive the winter I also heard they will have a beer and wine license

A good sandwich shop with good prices (which they have) can certainly survive year round.

Sounds like a pretty good business plan to me.

Where in the center of Center Harbor can you get any type of convince store items or say a contractor/ tradesman lunch. a newspaper, breakfast sandwich to go Not to mention beer and wine when available.

As far as I know the only place is the supermarket with a terrible parking lot and not really a quick in and out. if they make good sandwiches it should do just fine

Not exactly convenient for many but Jojo's makes great subs and their italian can't be beat. Period.

They own and live on several properties in Moultonboro. (summer/winter) Its not too hard to lookup who owns the property vs the business. I haven't spent the time or energy to busy body into that, more life giving things to think about. :)

I really wanted to like this place. So much so that after my first time I wrote the bad experience off to a new place working out the kinks. I've now been three times. Every time they have gotten my order wrong - they've repeatedly left things out that I paid for. It wasn't even busy. Today I was the only person in the place and they got it wrong.

Its only a bit pricy and I'm note sure it lives up to the expense (unlike the Marketplace over in Squam which is pricy and worth every last nickel!)

Even little things like the fruit salad. It was easy to tell that it was commercially produced fruit salad with fresh fruit added.

Oh well - I really hope they can figure it out. The place has promise but I'm not all that impressed so far.

Thank God they are putting in a Pizza oven. It is so hard to find any place in the lakes region that sells pizza.

Yeah, but how many get everything wrong with such excruciating slowness?

Last Saturday evening my wife and I took friends to Nolans in Wolfeboro. Their pizza was incredible and the service we had was very good. We were sat out on the porch and able to enjoy this great place and topped it off at the Yum-Yum shoppe after. Evening ended with a slow cruise back to Paugus Bay. We enjoyed it so much we took our daughter back there for lunch yesterday for her 20th birthday

Does no one use a pizza stone anymore? Just curious. Seems like that gets you close enough and worth it in terms of avoiding high prices and poor service. But I'm not a chef, either. :)

Their staff is personable, their prices are fair, and the atmosphere is unique (in a good way!) They'll even HEAT UP the cold stuff they're selling so you can eat it there. I really enjoyed their macaroni and cheese. Honestly, that's all I've tried so far...but I do love to see local markets becoming more of a popularity. :liplick:

Visited the sandwich shop.

Sorry folks. But it ain't gonna happen. As I mentioned before these flatlanders spent way too much money making the place look pretty.

Prices are high. Local contractors - the bread and butter of any sandwich shop just will continue to use Murphy's and Subway.

The pretty quazi wooden floor has buckled. Leaking water from one of the coolers. Condensation dripping on a "wood" floor. Whose brilliant idea was it to put a wood floor in a high traffic area? Again, it shows that there was no business plan.

I met the out of state lady that purchased the old Sandwich Country Store. Closed now. Gone.

I met the people that purchased the North Sandwich store. Closed and gone now.

I met the owner (two attempts over the decades) of the two sandwich shops located at the Nichols building. Both closed and gone now.

I met the owner of the pizza/sandwich shop located in one of the Kayak buildings. Gone now closed.

As I stated before, this Center Harbor sandwich shop should have kept the Lee Ulm building as is. Create a good sandwich at a good value. And saved themselves a lot of money.

All should have had a business plan and all should have done a needs study. Didn't and gone now.

Sad. as all were nice folks with good intentions.

For 2.39 plus 9%tx, $2.61-total; Heath's Super-Duper which is very close by, has a breakfast sandwich choice of English muffin or bagel with cheese, eggs, and bacon, ham, or sausage ...... all very well prepared......with highest quality materials....piled up high and thick and deep.....a good faith, healthy breakfast sandwich all loaded with the good stuff and created by someone who does a super-duper job.

Choice of five different Vermont coffee roaster cup of coffee......totally free in an el cheapo styrofoam cup, or you can upgrade to a luxurious, high quality 12-oz plain paper cup for 50-cents & 9% tx of 4-cents = 54-cents.

Starting every day, they make about ten breakfast sandwiches so's they are all ready to go, and you just gently remove one from its' home spot ...... no waiting!

Is pretty tough to beat that? Who knows .....maybe 850-calories? Every day is a sunny day at Heath's!

Anyone try the 4.59 qts of Brigham's ice cream.....which are less sweet....and more creamy?

tried it last week, food was okay. It definitely does not seem to fit in around here. At least not with locals. Reminds me of a place you find in Stowe Vermont. I think it will be more popular with the out of state crowd.
