Snubbers
Have new 24 ft Tritoon, Docked on Meredith Bay( Doe point) and I see lots of my neighbors use these Snubbers, What length would I use, Looking at Overton's they offer 3 sizes but don't say which size for 24 foot boat. I am thinking 16 inch ones would be best as the Bay is very choppy. Any thoughts, new to boating.

I bought my snubbers at Parafunalia and they were close to or cheaper than what I could buy them online for. I believe mine are 16" and I currently use them on my 28' tri-toon. They work great!!

Basically they add a bit of a shock absorber effect to your dock lines. That way when waves come through and toss your boat around all the impact isn't transferred directly to your cleats and/or dock. |
Here's a long video with larger boats, but it gives you the idea:

Also be aware that in addition to different lengths, there are also different size line diameters that they require (which is the way I would proceed). Figure out what size line is appropriate for your boat and then find the corresponding snubber.
