55+ Community in Meredith

Hello

I was wondering if anyone had any information about the new 55 and older community in Meredith (I think it is right on RT 25). I tried to find a web site but had no luck. Thank you

We had friends take a look at a unit this past weekend. A 2BR starts at $269K but is just bare bones. A more realistic price is about $325K. My friends were not pleased with how close together the buildings are to each other.

another draw back is that every house is the same. there will be a building with condos in it but they won't start building that until the houses are all in.

I think the real drawback is that, for a development for folks over 55 (maybe way over 55) there is no food market in Meredith any longer. If I wanted to retire to a place like this, I would want more shopping within walking distance.

Hey , you know that today's fifty-five year old is the equivelant of a thirty-five year old from 1964. But what I want to ask is that for 200k, where-o-where is the big lake water frontage with the Big Lake view. Ten short years ago, 200k would buy all that and a property tax bill of about 3000./year. Where did all that go & will it ever return?

A view of a Dunkin' Donuts is not exactly another day of paradise type of a view, now is it!

That kind of money won't get you too much and if it is a house you want that kind of money is now being spent on a lot and a house which will be torn down and replaced. A few years ago those free ad magazines from realitors would feature one house for a million dollars, now there are all kinds even being built for speculation.
