Our Baby....

Although this is down here in CT and not at the lake, I thought it was too cool of a pic not to share. We've been keeping our eye on this little doe since it was born just over a month ago. You can still see the spots! Mama is close by, just outside the edge of the picture.

Nice pic...We have the same thing in Mass, a mother and spotted baby walking through the yard a few times a week. Very cool to see I got a few phone pictures but nothing that good.

Thanks...

Glad you liked the pic. The baby had a sibling when it was first born...the two of them were too damn cute, stumbling around behind the mother, but it appears the sibling has become part of the food chain....haven't seen it in a few weeks.

We have a second year little doe who frequents & destroys the flower beds. The irony is I hunt as does my girlfriends two sons. We will let her be though. My girlfriend will stand on the deck talking to her about 30 ft away & she is minimally phased. Pretty cool although she has done some plant damage.

How do you know it's a "doe'"? Could be a buck.

Nice pic though.

Everything I know about deer, I learned from the Stooges....

...."Does the deer have a little doe? Yah, two bucks! Nyuck, Nyuck, Nyuck...!!!"
