Sam, you made the pants too long...

...and it is my first suit in a number of years. Can anyone recommend a tailor/seamstress in the Lakes Region who can hem a pair of pants? We have not been happy with the person in Meredith who has done previous work for my wife.

Thank you.

I now understand.....

...why everyone wears shorts around the lake. NO ONE knows how to shorten long pants!:):)

Does the Mrs have a sewing machine . . .

it's a super easy process. Patience, preparation and pinning is all you need.

We're not in Kansas anymore. :)

Alterations Plus on Union Ave. in Laconia (near the high school) does a great job. She has been hemming my husbands pants for years.

Don't worry, according to the men's department at Grace Brothers they will ride up with wear. (Couldn't resist. I'm an "Are You Being Served" fan from way back.

As long as Mr Humphreys doesn't have to measure my inside leg.

I know you have all been waiting to hear about my pants and I appreciate your help.

Misha, I asked the "Mrs." about the sewing machine and my pants. She did have a suggestion about what I could do with my pants if I expected her to sew them. I chose not to pursue that avenue.:)

I did take GBG's suggestion of Alterations Plus on Union Avenue. Very nice people, very professional and very reasonable.

Now my wife wants to take her clothes there.
