Massive Solar Flare today

Seems there was a smaller one early today and a much larger one early afternoon.

Any of our sky experts chime in on the possibility of Aurora Borealis?

I read that we should be prepared for cell and/or satellite interference in the next 2-3 days.

The WC talked about the solar flare briefly, and said that it may cause the Aurora Borealis to be seen tonight, especially in the Midwest and even in the Northeast.

I was just the way they said "even in the Northeast". May have been me, but is seemed like they were saying we MAY be able to see it (if we are sober enough, if we are capable of seeing the stars with our own eyes, if we can stay awake long enough,:eek:;)).

Long story short, perhaps!!!!

Northern Lights

NECN has indicated that the "northern lights" will be visible tonight depending on the cloud cover. :)
