helpful suggestions please

Hi everyone,
We will be up mid week to mid week, next week Feb. 1st.
Watching the forecast, it looks like we will encounter rain. I remember reading a few past threads that gave fantastic suggestions for things to do.
We will have five boys ranging from 3, 8, 10, 14, & 16yrs. old. We would like to keep everyone happy.

Can I bother you to post a suggestion for things to do in case we have a rain day?
(even things to do on beautiful days are always welcome)

I have searched for the past threads but haven't had any luck.

Thankyou,
Peter

I am assuming you mean Aug 1?

I think FunSpot goes without saying to kill a few hours. Kellerhaus for ice cream. Tilton outlets for back to school stuff. Planetarium (Concord?)

If you want to leave the area, and the weather is good in your travels.. Clarks Trading Post, Kangamangus, and North Conway outlets.

Castle in the Clouds in Moultonboro. NH Boat Museum, Libby Museum, and even Wright Museum in Wolfeboro. I think they would like the tanks and jeeps etc. there. They might even like the Clark House in Wolfeboro.

You will have to drive but these are good day trips:

Squam Lake Science Center http://www.nhnature.org/

Polar Caves http://www.polarcaves.com/

If heading towards Tilton there is also a Smitty's cinema. You can eat, drink and watch a movie all at the same time- full bar and menu. The food for theater junk food is decent. We hit the one in Sanford, Maine often when at home on the seacoast.

Try the transformer quesadillas :D

Steve the cruise is a nice idea. In additon to the nephews coming up,(with moms and dads) my mother and father will be along too, celebrating their 50TH wedding anniversary. We can surprise my father with this and he will be able to join us as a group. (He isn't able to do much walking)
Thanks for helping.

The Cog is best seen on sunny days. Not worth it when cloudy or rainy. As far as the Conway Scenic Railroad, make sure you take a northbound train only. We made the mistake of taking a south bound train and had the pleasure of seeing plenty of broken down cars and the dirty laundry hanging on the clothes lines of every trailer park in North Conway, plus the back of the strip malls...
