Sorry to hear this.
Mike was a great guy and a hard worker. He was pretty smart. He worked for a dock company which went defunct many years ago. Then he went on his own. He used to put in and take out our dock. He did this for many years part time as he had a different full time job. I used to put the dock in and take out year after year. I'd have to get a friend and the two of us would get in cold water to put in connect then level. Then family members complained that either it wasn't straight or wasn't level - so I stopped doing this and family hired Mike. Mike had an ingenious way of putting dock in. He never went in the water. And dock always was straight and level. He did have a helper but neither went in water. He did docks for many years. Later he worked in area in the construction trades and gave up the dock installations. Many on the North part of lake may have had Mike put in and take out their docks. Mike will surely be missed. He is at rest now. My condolences to his family. |
