You guys are having a great time, now if the ice would just hurry along the boat key is ready to be turned. Let the summer begin.

Beautiful fish!
I have always wanted to catch a salmon or a laker on my own. I have only caught a few on two separate occasions when I was fortunate enough to go with someone who had the gear (downriggers etc). Just moving out here from CO, I can't wait to catch one. I've tried twice, but struck out both times -- live smelt from 4:45-8am. Not sure what I'm doing wrong! I can catch bass (big bass) all day long during the summer, but just learning the ropes about salmon. If the dock wasn't destroyed I would put in a row-boat and go a little deeper and work the ice pack. Wish me luck -- congrats on your success!

Winnipesaukee Salmon
When I think of salmon, I think of what I see at the seafood counter at the market. Big, red, meaty fillets. Does Winnipesaukee salmon look like what we see for sale in retail? Thanks!

I got seven more today in the Fly Fishing Only Section, (current tally for April is now 31 salmon), and gave away all the rest of my bead head leeches, heh. A guy and his boy nailed a beauty::

Winni fish are freshwater. |
