"How Sweet It Is” pizza

I am enjoying eye-candy while sipping a Margarita on South Beach. Suddenly I have this incredible craving for the “How Sweet It Is” pizza at Tavern 27. Does anybody know how the off season is treating them?

No Off Season Here.

This is not the first time i've heard of cravings for this pizza. We took it off the menu when local spinach was seasonally done. We actually received death threats. We then found a green house to provide year round local organ spinach... so it's back. The spinach is $10 a pound so the pizza is pricey.

As for dealing with the off season; the snowmobilers are keeping us very busy.

I miss South Beach:liplick: My first restaurant was not to far north of there (Pompano Beach). I'm very familiar with the eye-candy you wrote of. Lucky you.

I'm guessing the "how sweet it is" refers to Jackie Gleason of Miami fame? From beautiful Miami Beach....its the Jackie Gleason Show. Mmmm..how sweet it is..:D

I made the same connection when I saw bbb's location. I played a lot of golf at Inverary CC. It was one of his hang outs and he hosted the Jackie Gleason Classic there. I wonder if he would have enjoyed this pizza?
