Lunar Eclipse tonight...
... if you want to stay up or get up to see it at 3.53AM.
Hey Weather People, will we be able to see it? http://www.space.com/spacewatch/tota...es-101219.html |
Thanks for the info, I get up at 3 so for some of us its morning! Its supposed to be cloudy/snowy, I'll certainly take a look tho.

Neater than I thought it would be...
For the folks in Florida, the eclipse is full-on (red) at 2:45-AM.
I just photographed it, but a tripod is needed to steady the camera. A cool feature of "auto-focusing", is that a digital camera picks up many more stars than are normally visible. (Only for an instant—but it's a cool instant). Because the sun is directly opposite the moon, the moonrise last evening was particularly brilliant. |
All times are GMT -5. The time now is 12:35 AM. |
