Thanks, I took a look, but IMHO there are many more interesting photo sites out there. Check out things like www.dpreview.com for one that I like.

There are many others also, but I didn't want to start a list here as it's not very related to the lake.

How is it not related to the lake? Personally I love to photograph Winni and the surrounding lakes. Saying a discussion about photography isn't related to the lake is like saying a discussion about fishing, boating or going out to a restaurant isn't related to the lake.

Ok, maybe I'm wrong, it could be my mistake.

My thought was that talking about photography in general isn't quite the same as talking about photo's of the lake, good places to shoot, or sharing photo's of the lake.

Would anyone like to discuss the merrits of full frame (FX) sensors vs small sensors (DX or APC) vs cell phone sensors? ;)

Don't get me wrong I WOULDN'T want to turn this forum into a phototography site. There are plenty of those that I go to, but pointing a few of them out in a thread or two wouldn't seem to be too offensive. The Winni community has a lot of interests.

By the way I'm all for full frame, lol

I finaly went full frame. Amazing detail and dynamic range!! If you haven't yet, save your coffee money and do it!

Amen! Have a Canon 6D and Zeiss 50 2.0 macro among others. The clarity and color satiation is to die for (for taking pics of the lake of course!)

Just stepped up to Canon 5D MKIII about three months ago loving it so far.

I went all the way to the Nikon D810.

I'd post some pictures, but the JPGs straigh out of the camera are 16 to 38 MB each! (depending on the individual photo), if I find a good example, I'll post process and scale some down, but there are many examples already online.
