Missing marker
Folks,
Is there an email for Marine Patrol to report missing markers? Not a big deal but there's been one missing at the West Alton sand bar for 2 years now. Thanks. |

That there is no appeal. He and he alone makes the determination of where markers go. Note: It's been there since the 1940's. And no, the rocks/ledge have not moved. |

Interesting .....
Granted I am using a somewhat dated Chart, but then again my GPS also shows it ... there has been a Black Top missing from the North west edge of Saunders Bay for a couple of years ...... I still don't dare venture inside where my GPS indicated it use to be |

I mentioned it to them this weekend and he said he'd report it but I figured I would follow up with an email. |

As for other posters in this thread, could you be more specific as to the location of the missing buoys. You can email me directly, if you wish. |

I just noticed today that the black top outside our house in lady maiden cove, Meredith bay is gone. It was there yesterday! I swam out there last year and saw a lot of boulders. Standing on one or 2 of them left me about 3ft of water clearance. Anyway didn't know where to report it and the numbers for MP were not relevant for this so I thought I'd let you know. |
Missing Buoy
I contacted Marine Patrol on three different occasions beginning in mid-June on a missing black buoy (there were two, one is missing since ice out) on the east side of Long Island just out from Harilla Landing by Lands End. Each return call, they noted they had received the previous call and it was on the list. As of last week, it still hadn't been replaced.
Anyone know how to escalate this? I'm worried with fall approaching and low water levels, this could cause some problems. |
