2021 Spring Boat shows cancelled

No boat show in NE in 2021, Annapolis and Miami also cancelled. Newport and Fort Lauderdale are in the fall.
How many of you, last fall, thought you'd go to the boat show to "get a deal" in 2021?
People who have a boat and slip can probably move up a little, newer or longer, but will lack of slips/valet hold back the local boat sales market? I'm a little surprised to see that Brunswick Corp (BC) is trading close to its 52 week highs. Will marinas on other lakes build more valet and the market will expand elsewhere in the Lakes Region?

...... a 1958 Cadillac aluminum runabout!

Oh well ...... new boats are wicked expensive and wicked fast to depreciate in value ...... the only thing that happens faster than boating that top Lake Winnipesaukee speed limit of 45-mph/daytime is the speedy decline in a new boat's resale value.

As you probably know that craigslist-NH-boat has become #1 NH remote boat show, happening 24/7.

Is very easy to separate out for viewing OWNER boats and DEALER boats.

Say-hey ...... how's about that 1958 Cadillac aluminum runabout - $2500 - Bradford, NH. And, 1958 was the year of the big hula-hoop craze ...... so's how about that! ...... ....... Re-live 1958 with a 1958 Cadillac aluminum runabout ...... but NOT at that cancelled boat show!

I spoke with Irwin yesterday, they said that Yamaha is already sold out of jetboats for the season. This season is shaping up to be similar to last.

Just got an email regarding next years 2022 Miami International Boat Show... They will be combining the Miami Yacht and Super Yacht show with the Miami International Boat show to make up one giant event! Should be quite show!

2021 show

This just floated in with my email:

"Join United Yacht Sales at the Stuart Boat Show, January 15th through the 17th, for one of the best boat shows South Florida has to offer. Located on NW Dixie Highway in Stuart, the Stuart Boat Show will have hundreds of boats from 12 to 90+ feet from all brands, new and pre-owned. UYS has an incredible line-up of Sportfish for this year's show! "

Not NE exactly, but good for our snowbirds. Tom Thomas, who many of you know from Birch Island and his years at Irwin Marine is now based in RI as a broker for United Yacht Sales.

Looks like the NH boat show is still happening so far.

This show is a no go!! As a matter of fact the promoters are being sued as they took off with almost a quarter million dollars of exhibitors money from last years cancelled show and are nowhere to be found!!

ishoot is correct. The NH show is definitely off. Along with the Covid issue, the dealers do not have sufficient inventory to fill a show display. Look for this year to be similar to last year as far as new product availability at boat dealers.

Interesting- where did you get that info? The website looks like it's going on. I'm back in Arizona but would like to see a show if I can.

Just my two cents but the website has no discussion of Covid protocols so I would seriously question it. Also, if it were to happen I would assume there would be no sales of tickets at the door (i.e. only advanced sales) so that the number of people could be better controlled.

If you click on the Attendee Info, Exhibitor Info, or Tickets links you get to pages for a NY Women's Expo from March 2020. Looks like the boat show website may have been cloned from that but never completed. That would lead me to believe there's no show this year.
