Forced hot air cleaning.

Who around Moultonborough is there to do a duct cleaning on a forced hot air heating system? Thanks...

FYI - If your duct sections are wrapped in white cloth tape, that may be asbestos. The cleaning company my wife called, refused to touch it. Said it was cheaper to cut out and replace the ducts than to do asbestos remediation.

I have an old house and I've seen it in new buildings too. It prevents air from leaking past the joints in places you might not want drafts. That's why they invented duct tape. It will also keep fumes out of the system if your ducts pass though a work shop or garage.

This is probably not a critical need. Tape probably adds a slight bit of stiffness at the joint but the hangars can probably do that job, alone.

Definitely get the job done before it gets cold. Good luck!
