Publicity can be a curse

Love the idea and a kid working to earn money.

I just hope the publicity doesn't bring out the meals tax folks or the board of health. Sometimes a best kept secret on the lake should be just that. I'm sure the folks on the lake know what they can get from him. Word of mouth is a great thing on a lake like Merrymeeting.

I wish him luck.

I think the young man has pretty much done what is needed to sell food with this statement in the article:

"I would go around pretty much the whole summer," Gus said. "And then last year, I moved up because someone had complained about me not having a food service license. So I'm like, 'You know what? I'll go ahead and get a license,' and now it's an official business, and it's all registered in my name."

Missed it. Thanks.

Too bad he had to do that; if you're worried, don't buy from him.

Thanks again.

Are there any lakeside brick and mortar businesses that also sell the same or similar items?

If so, I'm sure they're just "thrilled" by the competition.

If not: bravo!
