Gilford PD has others
If you go on Gilford PD FB page, Gilford Police Department , they have a total of 10 pictures from Ellacoya security cameras.

Fantastic you have the security footage and your post to let all of us know you are aware and will do what is required to hold those responsible

Young, drunk and stupid…they will be caught and it will cost them money.

Bravo Ellacoya B & G. Well handled.
|
No excuse to treat any public employees poorly.
Everyone should have security cameras now. The prices have come way down and the quality has gone way up. I have 4 security cameras. With 3 different apps. Yes, one only need one system. But I purchased good inexpensive cameras one at a time over time just to see how they worked. And they all work quite well. Two cameras go to a cloud - monthly fee. The others go to a micro SD card. No monthly fees. One I have to take off and charge battery. About once per month. has a magnetic mount so easy to take on/off. All of the others are plug in for electricity. And a solar kit is available for all of them. All can be viewed remotely - anywhere. |
The truck in the photo doesn't appear to have a front license plate (or maybe it's my eyesight).

It could be from a state that does not require a front license plate. Currently 19 states do not require a front plate.
The picture is not good enough to see if it has an inspection sticker on the windshield. The majority of people use credit cards in restaurants. If they paid with a credit card it should be easy to find them. |

You’re correct, which means it’s most likely an out of state truck. I believe NH requires a plate on the front. Wonder what state the rear plate is from? :rolleye1: |
Maybe my eyes are fooling me, but the truck could be easy to find. From looking at the picture, the truck back bed seems to be white and the cab is blue.....how many like that are out there? Hope they find them.

Gilford PD on the Case!
The group drove away in two vehicles — a Hummer and a Ford F250/350 pickup truck towing an enclosed snowmobile trailer — and headed east on Route 11 toward Alton, police said. The vehicles appeared to have Massachusetts plates, police added.

It does look like the heavy salt covering made the pickup bed look different. |
maybe they were up for the cancelled pond hockey tourie

Another funny thread.
Sleuths: Just because NH requires a front plate, doesn’t mean it’s always on. One of my vehicles has no front plate at the moment. Had it been me, you’d all be assuming I wasn’t from NH. It’s an all black truck and it could be from anywhere. |
Locals: Look for a black Ford Super Duty (F250/F350) crew cab with an american flag front plate and matte black wheels. These *might* be Method brand wheels.
It’s possible that these are dirty glossy wheels, but probably not: Method matte wheels are popular. Find it, take a photo of the tag (and occupant if possible) and share it with GPD. There are enough unique identifiers here to spot the truck. When they run the tag, the photos will take care of the rest… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Have spoke with many restaurant employees over the past few months and have been told this past summer was the worst season for customer rudeness. Unsure how one addresses this shift and prepare for it

For a while, I heard stories of examples of good human behavior in the last THREE (Yup almost 3 years). Now the stories seem to be not so good!
|
Hummer
I think it would be easier if people focused on the black Hummer. Hummers were popular in their day but I haven't seen on in the last 3 years.

If you look again at this link to the Gilford Police FB page, there's 2 pictures of the Ford truck. In the first pic, the bed of the truck looks white. In the second pic also showing the trailer, the bed of the truck looks to be the same color as the rest of the truck. I think the sun hitting the salt covered bed makes it look white in the first photo when it's acually the same color as the rest of the truck (Gray, green) |

Covid has brought a lot of new residents to the state from all over. Not all are good people. |
Clearly these are self absorbed a-holes.... Most likely snowmobilers judging from the trailer on the Ford. My guess is they were already tipsy when they arrived at Ellacoya!
Hopefully they will be found soon... they most likely passed thru a toll on their way back home. The easypass cams should have caught the truck & trailer! Woodsy |

Kudos to you Ellicoya Barn!
Sorry it happened, but you don't have to explain to us. You are tops! |
Anyone know updates on this?

By report, the manager "was assaulted by people in their party."
I see no details as to the nature of the assault: was it a push or shove, or something worse, such as a smack in the face with a closed fist? While I am not minimizing the conduct of these clowns it seems to be unreasonable to expect the police to devote constant effort and resources (i.e., money) to solving the crime if there were no substantial injuries or other damages done. If the assault was only a shove then this is likely "case closed." |

Follow up actions
Mr V, I'd like to think the police are still working on this. I would think if any type of assault took place there might be other charges to follow. If only a shove occurred did that result in other patrons be concerned or put in fear? If so, there could be a charge of disorderly conduct against the assailant. If they were told to leave and didn't I consider a possible trespass charge. Lastly, I'd like to identify them and send a letter informing them in writing they are no longer welcome on the property.

Aside from the assault they also left the premises with open alcohol containers stolen from the premises and most likely drunk driving.
|
Female manager (not that it should matter), open containers, property damage. And I agree, likely drunk driving.
|
Does anyone seriously think the police are still actively looking into this? I doubt it but hey just my .02

Let's say a guy is significantly smaller than I am; and he pushes me aggressively as he's leaving the restaurant, or he takes a swing at me, or pinches my ass and says haha. I push him back and don't think about him again. The police come and ask if I want to press charges, I laugh. Now let's say the same guy does one of those things to my daughter or my wife. I'm not laughing anymore... |
Let us assume the identity of these people is determined, and that they live out of state, say in Mass.
I believe the most the local PD can do is issue a warrant for their arrest for a misdemeanor or misdemeanors, a warrant which is not effective out of NH as there is no extradition for misdemeanors. Yes, if they return to NH and are somehow involved with and identified by law enforcement then the warrant would be executed on, but absent that they're free to fly under the radar. |
Massholes?
|
But of course!

the reality is theres "bad apples" in every group. true folks from out of state do bring there attitudes with them, driving habbits, cussing . as a contractor people think youre waiting by the phone hasn't been that way for at least 10+ years. why do people move up here? peace and quite relaxed life style, so then relax leave your negative energy in the cities and enjoy. I for one dont care about how much money you have leave it behind enjoy what is left up here with all these new buildings its changing by the minute. relax these people that caused this will get theres know doubt in my mind they will get theres.
|
I think the difference is people that have ''moved'' here, and those that only consider this a ''vacation''. Movers either fit in over time, or they don't. Vacationers generally don't really care if they fit in - some like these are a little bit extreme.
In the past, we may have just ignored the vacationers, as they were short term or weekenders that the contact with would be limited; but with all the movers still taking the time to adapt... and some trying to make us adapt (a waste of time)... the stress is increased. |
Do you guys really believe that only “vacationers” & “out-of-staters” can be “ass hats”? If so, your experiences have been mighty limited.

Locals that do it are often known to the LEO and establishments.
Since they live here year-round, the ongoing behavior stands out. |

And how very racist of you to mention Harlem. Shame on you. Sent from my iPad using Winnipesaukee Forum mobile app |
Why is mentioning Harlem racist? Is the immediate assumption that black people are the only ones who live in Harlem? That assumption could be racist? Most people don’t think that way.
