Recliner Mechanism Repair

Happy New Year everyone! Anyone know of someone who can repair a recliner mechanism? I'm in Alton.

Happy New Year to everyone at Winnipesaukee

Call Jim at Hillhurst fix and finish.
He did an unusual job for us as we could not get a sleeper sofa into a room. The sofa was taken apart and he also fixed the mechanism which was installed too low. Then put back together so no one can tell anything ever happened.

Some recliners have lifetime warranties. Check the manufacturer as some have free repairs and can give you names of who could help locally.

Thanks Steve. Knowing how much time you spend in a recliner now, solid advice! :)

Warranty

Warranty was 3 years on the mech. Recliner is older. But thanks for the input.

Thanks Woody. Jim was helpful, but can't get the replacement part.

Yep. Got one with "lifetime" warranty.

Then one has to determine what "lifetime" actually means.

In my case the lifetime of the chair as defined by the manufacturer was 7 years.
