Thunder and Lightning

I think this is the first time I can ever remember that we've gotten a lot of thunder and lightening in the middle of winter!!

I had a very scary winter lightning experience many years ago. On top of Cannon mt just about to get off the Summit chair. It was snowing as hard as it can and then...Kaboom!!! Less than a second from the lightening. Holy crap! They closed the lifts and I skied straight to the bar.

I had the same at Mt. Snow in VT. Lightning and thunder while on a lift. Not fun!

I know this is not from the winter, but I thought I would share this photo from the summer of 2014.

Last year there was a widely shared hysterical video of Jim Cantore of the Weather Channel going absolutely nuts about "thunder snow".

Here it is. He does love the weather...

When in 2014 did you take this, do you remember? I ask because we were at Proctors Lake house cottages over July 4, 2014 when a big storm blew across the lake. I was just curious if this was taken at that time.

Sorry not to reply sooner. Not July 4. August of 2014.
