... free fishing day-Sat, Jan 19!

Today is the day ....... one of two free fishing days .... offered by NH Fish & Game ..... Saturday, January 19, 2019 ..... and Saturday, June 1, 2019 .... offered to both residents and non-residents ..... with all the cold weather .... the ice is look'n very strong and safe. The annual fishing license costs $45 for NH residents, plus some businesses like Walmart add a two dollar service charge, making it $47.

Maybe I'm wrong on this, but believe that fishing through natural openings in the lake water is not allowed till April 1, so dropping a line from the bridge over the inflow channel that pours water from Lake Waukewan down into meredith bay on Lake Winnipesaukee is probably not legal, even though you can look down and see some very large cusk, just waiting down below, just being a cusk, which will eat anything.

So, if fishing through natural openings is not legal, then how about fishing from a dock with an ice eater, an unnatural opening in the ice, is this legal?

I'm curious about this as well. I'm not a huge fan of the usual ice fishing, but if I can drop a line without needing to drag an auger around it may expand my fishing season.

... free fishing, Saturday, June 1

Free fishing day will soon be here ...... Saturday, June 1, 2019 ...... if you missed out on Saturday, January 19 because you were down in Florida or someplace ...... you get a second chance ..... is NO excuse for missing this one!

.... do not fish ..... no excuse!

....think fishing is boring ..... no excuse!

....when you want fish, you go fishing at McDonald's for the double filet-o-fish, Alaskan Pollock caught yesterday in the Barrow Sea for $7 .... this is a good excuse!
