Alton Bay Webcam

Does anyone know if the Alton Baycam is coming back? I haven't been able to raise anything there since January.

I was wondering the same thing as I really wanted to see some of the winter carnival activities. Here's hoping that it comes back on line soon.:)

I have emailed Spencer Hughes agency several times regarding the cam, no reply.
Years past they always replied.

It's about JAVA vulnerabilities. The previous cameras used Java. I have un-installed ALL Java. :look: NB

Not likely to return.

I have noticed that Spencer Hughes Alton staff has changed out almost 100%. They are listing only 3 agents, and one does not have a bio listed.

I am not sure that this office will stay here...they can cover the area from their Wolfeboro office...If that is the case I doubt that the webcam is much of a priority.

Uppy, from what I have heard I can agree with your assumption. I understood that they made some changes in the Alton office last year and some of the agents left the office when that occurred.

I am one of the agents who left Spencer-Hughes in January. There were 5 full time agents in the Alton office, and we all decided to move to Keller Williams who is opening up a new office in Wolfeboro in a matter of days. The reason for our move is that Keller Williams is offering us much more as agents in training and technology and this in turn will make us better agents for our clients. It did not have anything to do with changes made in the office.
We are excited with the thought of a new office and new ideas for the Lakes Region. Keller Williams is the number one company in the United States size wise for number of agents. It also has won the JD Power award for the last two years for Highest Customer Satisfaction for both buyers and sellers.
I will still focus on islands sales and will still have a boat in Tuftonboro and Alton Bay to access the islands.
At this point the webcam is probably not being addressed as when we left it was interfering with some of the electronics in the office and I am sure it has been forgotten as Spencer-Hughes tries to rebuild.

Just for the heck of it...

...A week ago, I went ahead and emailed Spencer Hughes to inquire as to the status of the webcam. They advertise it on their website, along with the Wolfeboro Cam (Corinthian Yacht Club cam). The camera is still in place, but unfortunately they have chosen once again to not respond to a simple request.

Which makes me wonder, if I was looking to sell or buy a..... oh, never mind.:rolleye1:

Alton Bay livecam

I asked this question but posted in the wrong category. I loved live cam in Alton Bay. watched ice fishermen walk to shacks and enjoyed view of gazebo. I don't suppose that cam will ever be back, will it? Enjoying all the webcams. thanks to those who provide them.

On another media outlet...

I commented on a nice photo that Irwin Marine of Alton Bay (old Gillan Marine building) had posted.

I told them that would be a great webcam sight, with a smiley face.

Surprisingly, they indicated that was something that they were exploring. I don't know what kind of priority it would have, but is sure would be nice to see. Great location, looking straight out at the Alton Bay Bandstand and Sandy Point beyond. Great view for all seasons.

Keep your fingers crossed!!!! now try to type that way:laugh::eek:
