Need stereo or electric work on your boat?

I was having some problems with my boat stereo:
(1) one speaker was out
(2) radio reception not good and
(3) sound wasn't very clear

I searched these forums and found the recommendation for Nick Wilmerding at NW Marine Industries, and I couldn't be happier (it was in the old thread about someone needing help installing a Garmin)

Anyway, he came to my home in Wolfeboro on Lake Winnipesaukee, and fixed it all -- added an amplifier, strung the antenna to improve reception and replaced the speaker. Great service and very friendly -- highly recommend.

Just figured I'd share it again, as the service was outstanding.

I have used Nick several times for everything from a complete boat rewiring and stereo installation to minor electrical repairs.

His work is excellent and his prices are fair. He is a decent guy who has a lot of high end boat experience. If I remember correctly, he used to do electric wiring and installations on new Hinkley's at the factory.

I agree with the recommendation. I know some local marine service companies have been using him for their electrical work.

I too agree with all the comments. Top notch work and service level which is hard to find these days.

I'm not a customer but I have seen Nick's work.

He does great work (I've seen his work), seems fair priced (as reported from his customers), and knows what he is doing.

What else could you want?

I'm also a VERY satisfied customer of Nick's. He has an attention to details that is more and more rare. He doesn't just do what you ask but keeps his eyes open for other potential problems. An example: When he installed my new stereo in my boat, he observed the power feed wire from the battery was undersized and asked if I wanted to replace it with a heavier gauge wire. I know enough about electricity to understand that undersized wires can be a problem so I told him to go ahead. He is also meticulous. Every wire is cable tied in place and kink free.

He also did trailer wiring on my truck and does other types of electrical work as well.
