www.sandwichsidehillers.com/mushing has been cancelled too; it ran along a 200-year old, single lane, 12?-mile dirt and some asphalt road which goes through the woods and hills of the Sandwich Notch Wilderness Area from Thornton to North Sandwich which is a huge area that is a little north and west of Squam Lake and very, very empty of any people, development, or 400' high, vista-busting wind turbines.
Suggest u google "sandwich notch road" to see a 14:59 minute youtube video shot from down low on a motorcycle in the summer.
