So very sorry but......... that Caravan boat could be not legal on Lake Winnipesaukee because house boats are NOT allowed. What's the law say about this?

Bear Guy 09-12-2018 08:34 AM

Boats with sleeping quarters ("houseboats") are certainly allowed on Winni. Perhaps you are thinking of restrictions on overnighting. From the NH DoS website:
Overnight mooring is illegal in the State of NH, although, it is legal to sleep on your boat overnight while tied to a dock when you have the landowner's permission.

Caravan

I agree its ugly but I like the concept. You can boat with it and camp on a lake (not Winni) or you can camp on land. Now you don't need 2 units to do both. However, I can't for the life of me figure out where you drive from. Its totally enclosed. The front interior is where the sleeping quarters are. Did not see any helm on top. You would not be able to see where you are going from the back. Did any one else figure this out?

On their website there is a diagram that shows the helm. The visibility from that location can't be very good, especially to the left and behind. Maybe there are some cameras that allow the operator to look around:

I'd buy one tomorrow if there were some type of fly bridge. Starts at $67,400 I don't know if that's dollars though.

On water food trucks...

If the dive folks bought 4 or 5 of these things and outfitted them like food trucks we coulda had tacos on the water everywhere.

License plates are German. (So it's Euros).

A smaller version, also from Germany, was introduced 20 years ago.

The "Osprey" was firmly attached to a trailer hitch, and the wheels "took to water". This example is even smaller than the Osprey, but built on the same concept:

A £100,000 "yacht", with 375-HP, looks like a spaceship, carries 17. Visibility from the helm is excellent:

I’m guessing Caravanboat is only a concept at this point as there are no actual pictures, just artist renditions. The je

For people who hide from the sun; with that enclosed bubble cover top and darkened windows, you can go boating all summer long and save yourself maybe 75,000 euros/year cost for sun screen lotion.

If its got a jet drive, it can maybe do skid circle turns.

Needs a ping pong table up top, on the roof!

Combo-Crusier

Only about 150 of them made 1968-1972.

When two concepts are mixed the result is often not as good as either concept on its own.

Flying cars

Car boats

Submarine motorcycles

Ok, I just made that last one up but really, a camper boat?
