HOA rules

For those familiar with HOAs around the lake a question about RV's.

Can you keep an rv at your home if it is in an association? I'm referring to the associations that are more like neighborhoods.

If they permit it, can they change the rules and force you to put it in storage?

I've seen associations in NY and AZ that were very restrictive about everything.

I'm looking to relocate the area and trying to see if an HOA is an option for me.

Thanks to all in advance!

HOA and RV's

I am leaving an HOA after 8 years and going to another. Both in Tuftonboro, both typical neighborhoods, neither one allow RV's.
In the one I am leaving, I think if you "behave" yourself they may let things slide. I used to store a boat next to garage in winter months.

YMMV

Hoa

A number of HOA on the lake have a storage area for trailers and RV. You need to look around. Most if not all will not allow trailer or RV parking. Some will not allow trucks or motorcycles unless parked in a garage.
I know of one HOA that all vehicles are to be garaged!

Check with the town too, many have ordnances that prohibit or at least limit this stuff as well. Most of the time if there is something in place it's a "keep it out of sight" rule.

Any HOA I have run across has strict rules about this sort of thing and overall care\appearance of properties in general. This sort of thing adversely effects property values and ambiance if left unchecked. You know there is always "that guy" who sees no problem living in the middle of a personal junk yard.

Nope! Not even for a night.

There are storage places around that have pad space for rent on their lot.
