A little disturbing to say the least that the Laconia City Council voted to make a 1.14 million dollar purchase in a non public session.

someone want to tell me why they are purchasing 84 parking spots in the first place?

Apparently they are purchasing for resale according to the article and the spots are need to convert the house into an office or condos. With their history this will more than likely be a financial loss. [emoji35]

way I read it was, they will be reselling the buildings, but needed to purchase the buildings in order to get the 84 parking spots.

Could it be to secure extra parking for the downtown theater that they are throwing $$$ at?

Should have purchased the old 5 and dime next to the theater for much less. Tear it down and you have all the downtown parking you need
