Big Cat

Saw this on my dock on Bear Island. Should I be concerned? I’m new to the area. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...465964ed89.jpg

Looks like a Bobcat. Probably more scared of you than you are of it.

Not unless the bobcat is sitting on your doorstep drooling and snarling while waiting for you to come out! :D

You caught a Bobcat on your cam. Nice - live in NH over 30 years and only saw one once - they are tough to spot.

They do hunt small animals - very low danger to you but smaller pets can be at risk but the risk existed prior to you getting this picture along with the risk of Coyotes and other smaller predator attacks.

You were lucky to catch that photo of a bobcat. Nothing to be concerned about you likely will never see it in real life

We saw one walking off the road into the woods last fall. It looked very big and has a lot of fur. My guess is it had seen many years.

The one in the picture posted here looks young to me.

I wonder if it can make a go of it on the island.

Hahaha, right. But what if it rang the doorbell?

With a Ring doorbell cam...

With a Ring doorbell cam, you could activate the siren and watch it leave the area. :)

Bring him/her inside.. Roll it over on its back, rub its belly, and say "that's a nice kitty"

In all seriousness, I saw one suissevale last year. Kinda like big house cat. Promptly ran the other way when it saw me.

Big Cat

I had one that came across my deck in Wolfeboro a few years ago. Was surprised to see him during the middle of the day. Haven't seen him since.

I've seen them in the Milan area while snowmobiling a few times, they are fast.
