Biketemberfest

Are there any reports on how the motorcycle block party went over the weekend? We took a cruise through the Weirs on Saturday after dinner and the place was packed! Was it successful enough for a repeat performance next year? I think it was a GREAT idea to have it be a local event without all the out of town vendors. Maybe it can grow out to the other restaurants in the area and be one big local block party for the Winni area.

Could BikeWeek be in Trouble?

Went through the area twice ( back and forth to Laconia). At times I think I saw jest as many Bikes as on BIKE WEEK.

It looked like there were 300+ Bikes at the Loon Bin!

The Broken Spoke had Bikes and People Every Where!

Was it a Success? No other way to describe it!!!!!!!!

Maybe the should have a FALL FOLIAGE WEEKEND?

Could not of asked for better weather. From what I have heard from attendees pumping gas Sunday morning, every thing was terrific, well thought out. Not sure we need to go to the well during leaf peepers season, but early May?

It was a great event and the weather was perfect. There was a car/bike show at the Broken Spoke on Saturday that was well attended also.

The bars on Lakeside Avenue were packed and doing a great business. The crowd was well behaved and seemed to enjoy the bands.

Many local businesses (not just the ones in the blocked street area) contributed financially to make it a success, and it was. I would be very surprised if it does not become an annual event.

We rode over there by boat and saw all the bikes. I had forgotten about it until I saw the crowds.

Amazing...

I attended all 3 days (I live in the Weirs).... In a word, the event was AMAZING... the Weirs was busy, some might argue busier than Bike Week. The Spoke's car show was packed... the Looney Bin's Charity Pig Roast was Epic! Anthony (Tower Hill Tavern) vision for this event made it happen. Mother Nature sending the spectacular weather should get some of the credit as well.

I can't wait to see what next year brings.... maybe do something similar a few times a year!

I didn't even know it was going on, sleeping at the wheel I guess. Looks like it was a great time, sorry I missed it.

Maybe they're onto something

Was there most of the day Saturday. Had a blast. Everyone I talked too had a blast.

It wasn't just a 300+ out of town vendors all hawking the same T-Shirts.

Free entertainment, pick up games of cornhole and 104.9 the Hawk broadcasting live and giving out free schwag??? Then toss in a lot of good folks? Oh and I can walk around with a drink and have fun??! What is not to love. Count me in.

It always amazes me that on Bike-Week if you stand under a big white open awning you are legal to have a beer, but 1 step out of it and your illegal and get cuffed. Either you are in public or you are not. (Hearing Ron White skit in my brain. I wasn't drinking in pub-lic, you threw me in pub-lic)
