I agree I am a huge advocate of a ONE term limit on every level of government.

President & Governors-5 years
Senate (federal and State)-6 years
House (federal and State)-3 years

It is the only way to bring in fresh people with fresh ideas and eliminate entitlement.

I agree except sometimes a President needs a full 4 years to undo what his/her predescessor has done to turn the country toward his desired direction. Perhaps if the house/senate bozos would do their jobs with smart, debate and compromises instead of obstructing and resisting, a president could manage a proper agenda in 4-5 years of one term. And I mean bozos on either side of the aisle.

You are correct there. Especially on the "both sides of the aisle". Maybe 1 6 year for president and governor ?

Below is an interesting article about why millennials believe socialism is better than capitalism.

Quote:

The Millennials grew up and began their careers in a time when:

Almost every home (except 3rd world countries) had an internet connection and a computer.
2008, the largest economic decline since the great depression.
911 Terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
The effect of 20+ years of offshoring of American jobs is finally felt.
Enron - energy trading scams and corporate fraud on a national level.
Global warming becoming obvious with unusually severe storms, hotter weather, colder weather, more droughts etc.
President G. W. Bush, Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney deceived the entire nation about weapons of mass destruction of the nuclear and biological type and the subsequent invasion and occupation of Iraq.
The explosive growth in online companies such as Google, Facebook, SalesForce.com, LinkedIn, EBay, PayPal.
A revolution in the way we work, including widespread acceptance of flex-time, work from home, freelancing.
The US is divided 50:50 with different and opposite fundamental beliefs and values.
Way too many crazy people are shooting their fellow Americans with weapons of rapid destruction.
Congress becoming dysfunctional.
Housing prices growing beyond most young people's reach.

Funny, (NOT) how there is not ONE word about Obama and/or the media... That whole list is Democrat talking points and/or unintended consequences of Democrat policies/ globalism. I question the source of that list... I tried to click on the link, but it warned me of a virus and told me to "go back"!! "Just a coincidence", I'm sure... It all boils down to one word: LIBERALISM. It is the (domestic) enemy of the American way of life, and needs to be defeated every time, (at the ballot box). I just ask one simple question of all you homeowner's out there, but there is a "catch", you HAVE to be completely HONEST with yourself: How long would you "tolerate", and "coexist" with a person that was "down and out" that you invited into YOUR house, that wants to change everything about the way you have set it up, and doesn't clean up after themsevles???? Now imagine the music from the game show "Jeopardy" while you think about it...!! That person is supposed to respect your home, and help you maintain it the way you intended, not the way they want it. It's NOT real complicated...

America is a mix of socialism and capitalism.
Prime example is that you can have private property but MUST pay taxes or you will lose it.

Capitalism is ideal until it fails and socialism has to bail it out.

Cal Coon 09-13-2018 05:09 PM

Liberals control the 3 biggest influences on our society and culture. Main stream media, Hollywood (movies), and education, so as you witness our culture going down the tubes, think about that at the ballot box...

Please, give me one example where socialism bailed out capitalism. Socialism has FAILED every time it's been tried, and capitalism has worked every time it's been tried. Socialism breeds misery, capitalism inspires people. Losing something, (property in this case), because you don't pay for it, is not socialism. Is it socialism when the bank repo's your car when you don't make the payments? Socialism was the mandate in obamacare, (that Trump removed), that made anyone without health insurance pay a fine for NOT having it!! That is so wrong. The Federal Govt should NEVER force anyone to HAVE to buy anything, or be penalized. NOT EVER. That goes against everything this country was founded on!!! Shame on Justice Roberts.

The biggest factor is probably the wage gap growth. along with all that. We will lose the right to capitalism due to are greed at some point, A holes ruin everything. Not that I endorse it, But the Nordic countries are doing pretty good.

We will lose the right to capitalism when there are more people in the boat than people rowing the boat. Socialism is great until you run out of other people's money. And regarding "wage gap," what a crock! Anyone, and I mean anyone, could earn between $100,000 and $150,000 if they are committed to hard work. I know several house cleaners and landscapers that make huge money. No special skills. They do a good job and work 70+ hours per week. "Wage gap" is merely an excuse to be lazy, or not push oneself to be better.

The country Has been running on other peoples money for years. The national debt is at 21 trillion and rising.
Trump has made his fortune using other people money and then filing for bankruptcy when the bottom falls out. I hope he doesn't think he can do that with the country.
This administration has just kept adding to it as if it will never run out.

You have no idea what you're talking about, as usual, How could a blue collar worker in the 50's or 60's live on one income, buy a house, and have a comfortable life, in 40 hours bye the way.Who said socialism is good. let alone great. Jeff Sessions was Trump's biggest mistake so far, although not his fault Sessions recuses himself the day AFTER he is confirmed. Sessions should be having a field day with all the fbi/doj corruption. In a perfect world, republicans add (Trump supporting) seats to the house in the mid terms and Trump can fire Sessions and get a "PITBULL" AG confirmed to go after all the corruption!!!

Only 12% of the working people in America make $100-150K a year and 80% make less.

The "bail outs" were NOT socialism in it's standard form... I understand your point, but you are still not comparing apples to apples. Not an accurate analogy IMHO. Every single person you listed as "pleading guilty" had NOTHING to do with Donald Trump, or his campaign. Mueller is not even investigating a crime, he is trying to fabricate one up where there is none, and he has broken MANY laws with his conspirators (including the main stream media) along the way!!! THIS ENTIRE "WITCH HUNT" IS ALL A DISTRACTION FROM THE REAL CORRUPTION IN THE FBI/DOJ, AND THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION. I'm not a gambling man, but I would bet my LIFE on this one!!! Obama was probably the most corrupt president this country has ever seen. He politicized the IRS and the FBI/DOJ that we know of, who knows what else... Two reasons he got away with it all, (so far...) is he has had the media protecting him, and he has had a republican party too scared of being called racists to even criticize him, let alone actually go after him for his real corruption. The swamp is deeper than anyone thought possible...

He makes perfect sense to me. He is being sarcastic when he says that socialism is great - until you run out of other people's money. He is absolutely right. What is so hard to understand about this? What I don't understand is your response. What are the facts you mentioned, and what numbers are you referring too? Back in May, according to a DC attorney [DiGenova] had predicted that Brennan, Clapper and Comey will be indicted—but this is "old-news".

Quote:

DiGenova says, “We now know that there was indeed a criminal conspiracy involving John Brennan, James Clapper, Sally Yates, James Comey, senior DOJ officials and FBI officials. It is not beyond any doubt that those people engaged in illegal criminal conduct to subvert a national election before the election took place and then to subvert the presidency of the opposition party candidate who won.”

DiGenova also predicts Brennan, Clapper and Comey will be indicted.
More indictments are to be handed down soon (next week?) regarding the FBI agents and appointees I'd listed previously. :eek2:

Of course he makes perfect sense to you, You're delusional. Off course he's being sarcastic, he's also using a straw man since no one was arguing that. The facts are the % increase in the gap, it's east to find, It's also a fact that the younger generation Is looking at alternative forms of gov due to factors mentioned above, one of them being the wage gap. I know you're fairly new to the forum so I'll give you my recap. I've voted for libertarians my entire life, Never voted for a national Dem, Meaning pres, congress, senate. I also voted for your hero in the primary but it took me about a week to realize what a mistake that was.The difference between you and me is you're blinded by ideology so you can't clearly see the problems. If you can't figure out how the wage gap is a reason why single income family's are a tiny percent of the nation as a whole then I can't help you. I think it was Twain who said " It's easier to fool someone than to convince them they've been fooled". I don't care to fool people or have time to convince them they've been fooled anymore. End rant.

I still have no idea what the hell you are talking about in your rant, but I'm the stupid one, right??? This younger generation is looking for an alternative form of govt because they have been fed a bunch of BS propaganda since kindergarten. I just saw a video on youtube that James O'keefe (from Project Veritas) is going to be releasing video's that he has been (secretly) taking on individuals involved in the deep state corruption scheme one by one!!! The reason they call conservatives all those ridiculous names is simply because they KNOW they can not debate the issues and come out looking like the winner. They lose the argument EVERY time, (unless they lie through their teeth!!) so they have to "destroy" their opponents rather than debate the issues. No true, red blooded American would ever vote for today's liberal if the liberal actually stated his beliefs honestly, ie: Obama!!! They have just gone way to far to the left, hence the reason why they fight so hard for open borders. (They NEED those people on the Govt dole for future votes...) It's just a "play" in their playbook that they have been using for many, many years... The problem now though for them, is that the people are now realizing they have been getting "played" for all these years, and are realizing what the truth is, and it is starting to backfire on them starting with the election of Trump...!!! The results of these upcoming mid term elections will tell us all we need to know as to where the "majority" is in this country. Funny, all you hear about is the "blue wave" that is coming from the msm just like they said Trump can never beat hillary!! We shall see...

It's like I'm trying to read something in a foreign language I don't read or speak!!! I will send you my cell phone number in a PM if you think that would help you explain, since you can't (or won't) do it on line cause I would really like to try and understand... Maybe someone else (Rusty) can explain your message to me, since he seems to agree with you. I am really confused... Somebody, pleeeeeeease help me understand this liberal jibberish speak...

noreast made an articulate explanation of his concerns about the wage gap and needs no further comments from me.

So what do you endorse? I am sincerely curious.

I endorse nothing, It would have to be a cultural change. I believe it was Warren Buffet who said "When Bernie Sanders, or someone like him gets elected president, The same people who will be crying in there Perrier will be the ones to blame".

That "someone like him" was obama! We have already been there, done that, that's why we are where we are... Notice how conservatives dealt with obama with so much more class than the lib's are dealing with Trump!!! That's another thing I like about Trump, he is forcing liberals to show their "true colors" with their Trump derangement syndrome. Their behavior is beyond embarrassing. Trump is working on changing the culture now, (back to the way our founding fathers intended) and he is in for the fight of his life, and I think he is loving it!! You know he loves to fight, this is what he lives for!!!
