www.faysboatyard.com, Gilford made it happen for me, and found an all-cash buyer from Ontario who trailer-ed the boat back to a new happy home on Lake Ontario after I replaced all four old tires and a busted tail light. Their Fay's percentage was actually pretty fair especially since they made it happen!

I recommend Melvin Village Marina, specifically Matt Galvin. We've purchased and sold several boats through them. One experience got a bit complicated with the sale to an out-of-stater and they managed the challenges very well. Well worth the brokerage fee.

On the other side of the lake, I've done business with Irwin Marine for buy, sell, trade and alwaysa been happy. When selling, we agreed on a pre-set limit so that if a buyer wanted something fixed, they could say "Of course. We'll take care of that" no delays getting authorization etc. and the sale moves forward. They have a strong service dept. and often have access to slips and valet which can make or break a sale.

It's been 10% for a long time. There are occasions where it might go higher if it is a very low value boat. On larger boats (more $$) the brokers may negotiate a little when there is actually an offer on the table. And, of course, there may be a second round of negotiations after the survey and sea trials.
