I need some help with websites

Hi from Florida.
I am wanting to get my son and family a gift certificate to a really nice restaurant for Christmas. I know of the restaurants, but I mis-placed my restaurant guide when I came home from my September Baby-arrival visit.
Does anyone have a source for me to check out? Need to order the G.C. on-line.
Thanks.

Hi Lady Di Hope all is well down in Fl

Did you check the "lake links" on this website's home page and then "restaurants"??? Also try the community links also off the home page.

Have a nice holiday season.

Hi upthesaukee

No I didn't do that yet.

I will, but there are probably some restaurants that would get local accolades, but may not have websites.
I am still thinking of The Woodshed.
I will keep researching.
Just re-checked The Coe House and decided against it, based on readers' remarks.

I see by the Weirscam that it's a nice day there, also. But it's 74 here. :)

Take care.

Lady Di By and large, I think most comments on the Coe House will be extremely positive. There was one episode on a holiday, valentine's day a year or so ago I think, where they ended up short staffed and over booked, and the owner stood up in the thread and took full ownership of the problem. We have eaten there twice (it's on the other side of the lake from us) and had a wonderful meal with fine service. I personally would not hesitate to go back to the Coe House again.

On the Gilford Side of the lake, we were at the Townsend Tavern (formerly Gretchen's and then the Glendale Tavern) with another couple. Fine food, four meals, three appetizers/soups, a couple of drinks each, three desserts, about $133 plus tip. Excellent night out. 603-293-8833.

Regardless, enjoy your holiday and enjoy your sending the "kids" out for a nice meal.

thanks for the clarification.

I do remember that it was a special occasion thing.
I will take it under advisement.

nh.com and newhampshire.com

These websites are an excellent scource of fine restuarants in the Lakes Region as well as NH. I find a lot of interesting tidbits.

I subscribe to NH Magazine and there are excellent reviews of restuarants written. I just love the writeups and pictures of homes around the lake. :D

Although it's not listed in Don's restaurant section, you might want to consider the Canoe in Center Harbor. It has gotten good reviews from most here (see posts http://www.winnipesaukee.com/forums/...read.php?t=189). Their website is http://www.eatatcanoe.com/welcome.html . I don't know about ordering GC's online but you could always call them by phone.

Is there any section of the Lakes region that would be preffered ?
