28 foot +- wreck

Found this about a week ago; 56 feet of water; Interesting to see what might have caused the holes in the lake floor adjacent to it.

Maybe something heavy was thrown overboard to save the ship?

This video was taken on 10/09/13. The first 75 seconds are good but the rest has problems. Not sure what happened.

No engine. The silt around it is > 4 feet deep. The wreck is buried in the silt and tipped so that the starboard gunwales are almost at the top of the silt. The bow is pointed and the stern is fantailed. There was a big cusk under the wreck and 2 more nearby. The silt is very deep so watch your buoyancy. We'll take a better video this summer. |
