Moultonboro Snowmobile Club Trail Ride

The Club has scheduled a “Trail Ride” for this coming Saturday morning, meeting at the Club Garage at 9:00 AM. This will be a short 2 or 3 hour ride on the Moultonboro trails. The purpose of this ride is to show what the Club has done this year and last year to improve the riding conditions on our Trail system. It is also a way to show those who have made donations directly to our Trails fund that is making a big difference in how we can maintain and improve the system.

At this time the trails are starting to show some major ware in the open areas. It is my hope that we may get some snow between now and Saturday morning. I will try to make it to the garage Saturday morning on way or the other.

I am planning to leave from the garage; head towards the Village Kitchen then up over Red Hill, down the back side out along the Bean Rd trial toward Squawm, turn back and cross Wakonda and Kanascta, take Corridor 15 down to Blackadar, cross over a Davises Field, take the Kona Forrest Trail, do the Loop Trial then out on the new trial from the Sand Pitt to Moultonboro Neck Road. From there we will cross over to the Far Echo Trail and exit on to Moultonboro Bay just before Camp Tecumseh. This will give everyone a birds eye view of what has been done. The only other improvement we may not be able to get to is the new 55’ bridge that the Club installed over Shannon Brook off of rout 109.

This may be all wishful think on my part, but may be all it will take is one more candle.

:) :) :) At 4:30 PM the Weather Channel is predicting 2 to 4 inches of snow over night in to Saturday morning. If they are right we should be good to go for the morning Trail ride. Remember we will be meeting at the Club Garage at 9:00 AM. We will probably wait till about 9:30 before we leave. If you arrive late follow the direction as stated. We will be going at leisurely passé.
