New Boat
Took the plunge today and traded in the Premier for a new Bennington 2572 QCW. Didn't take long to work out a deal with Ryan at Winisquam Marine and should be taking delivery this Friday.
Looking forward to trying her out at her new home on Welch Island! Dan |

Very cool!
Pontoon comfort and styling has come a long way. Those Yamaha OB's are so smooth. |
350 Yamaha?? Nice ride Dan!
|
Perfect lake boat
Now that is one sweet tritoon!.......and a Bennington.....the best!
|
Nice ride and comfortable, where are the downriggers?
|
Looks like a nice trade up, congrats!
|
But, where do the down riggers go!? :(
Haha, nice boat man. You could fit quite a few wimmens on there. :coolsm: |
Getting it rigged up for fishing?
Already has a fighting chair that looks really comfortable. ;):D
|
Looks like Premier will become the orphaned boat on the lake. I wonder if anybody will pick up the line?
|
Nice!!
Nothing like Trolling at 45 mph.:D

The "Q" is the best tritoon out there as far as I'm concerned....only thing even close in design and styling is the Harris Crowne.
Your Blackout edition is stunning.....mine is blue. It's pretty impressive when you see it at night with the underwater and running lights on. |
Lord Vader, your 'toon is ready...
|
I hope Winnisquam get the Bennington's into the Rental program soon :D

New Boat
Dan,
That is a serious boat! Congrats to you and the family. Looking forward to seeing her in Meredith Bay. Mickey |
Congratulations and Best Wishes!

Good luck with the new boat, Dan! It looks great! Tri-Toons make a lot of sense to me.

Nice Boat!!
Hey Dan congrats the new Floating Mansion!! I especially like the rear facing loungers with the safety rails. Very comfy looking! We'll be looking for that "toon" at the Meredith town docks this summer.
The Breeze Wave 'cuz I'll be wavin' back |

Large Pontoon Boat
We passed a large pontoon boat with a flying bridge and a water slide at its stern in Smith Cove on our return to port Sunday evening. Wow!!!

Dan.....stopped at Winnisquam Marine yesterday to check on some service work and saw your boat being rigged in the yard. It's going to turn a lot of heads on Winnipesaukee.

Nice ride. Just got back from a week away, but checked out the pics a few times while we were gone. We were on a different boat, a cruise ship in 20-25' seas.... |
Just one word....
Wow...........
Bt |
We're all waiting with baited breath.....my guess is around 52/53 and that's honking for a "toon".I just got 48.8 on my GPS .
I don't do WOT for long ,though...........30 gallons an hour. |

Just playing around with it the other day, I think she will top out in the low 50's, the same as my old Manitou did. (that boat was crazy fast!) But this boat is 4' longer and a lot heavier so I am very happy with the results! I haven't played with props or dialed in the trim yet but it sure seems like Bennington has done their homework on the prop so I may stick with what's on there... I think what impressed me the most so far is it doesn't seem to matter how many people are on board as it barely affects the speed and how well it rides and handles. I had 10 people on board yesterday and it performed flawlessly. That Yamaha really has a lot of mid and upper level torque! Very impressed so far with the Bennington and the Yamaha!! Dan |

Still waiting to hear about the top end. My guess is 53 with 2 passangers and 1/2 tank of fuel.

2 stroke/ 4 stroke
Dan, how are you enjoying your 4 stroke? I wish I had gone that route.
|
Quote:
So far I love the new Yamaha 4 stroke...powerful and super quiet! The only 2 stroke I would even think of would be an Etec. I had a 250 H.O. Etec before on my Manitou tri-toon and it was powerful and very quiet! After the Manitou, I had a 250 4 stroke Verado installed on my Premier and that was super quiet. I couldn't even tell that motor was running unless I looked at the RPM gauge! Dan |
I have the Merc Pro XS 2 stroke 200HP on my Premier. They told me it was cheaper to run than a 4 stroke, but the cost of the DI oil costs much more than an annual oil change, which I was told is $250. That and the noise make me NOT a fan of the 2 stroke. I also like quiet.
|
I LOVE the smell of two stroke exhaust in the morning...
but my Merc 50 has an annoying snarl as it hits the power band. Sometimes sea conditions require staying in that rpm zone and I'm growing tired of it. My Edgewater 140cc, beast that she is, will not enjoy the extra transom weight of a four stroke :( |
I saw Vader's pontoon at Glendale yesterday, very impressive.

Sorry I didn't see you Codeman, we could of gone for a ride! Dan |
I think thats the boat my kids were playing on before I got my boat 8 weeks ago from Winnisquam.

The wife wants a boat again next year and I am pushing for another toon. |
I saw you out and about either Saturday or Sunday. Very impressive. My guess is very high 50's when you get to wind it up!!
