Right Click and Copy - Images
Is there a way to disable the "right Click and Copy" function for photos posted in Photopost on inserted as part of a post?

The nature of the web is that anything on a webpage can be saved. There are some ways to make this mildly difficult, or confusing the less tech-savvy, but in the end it's all there for the taking. |
Use a watermark...
SteveA, I would do what Bill Hemmel does with his wonderful aviation photos...put a watermark over the picture so as to make the picture not easily copied without your express permission.
Heck of a note, but that would be the only way I can think of making it not copyable on a public forum. If someone wants a clean picture, then they can contact you and you can email them a clean copy for their use with your permission. Good luck...love your pictures...hate someone using them without permission. |
Steve, wonderful photos.
In addition to the excellent suggestion you just received, I would not post full resolution photos. Photos can look good on the web in lower resolution, but when printed, they will look grainy. Thanks for sharing! R2B |
Great comments everyone.. Thank you
Thanks for the responses!
Yes I will "almost" always send pictures to folks that ask and the image seems to have a special "Winni" memory for someone. I only ask because I posted a picture here that ended up with someone elses name on it on another site. (Not a site that has anything to do with Winni or even New Hampshire) Not really a big deal. If I ever got to the point that I was trying to sell pictures, which I have no plans to do, I suppose I could watermark them somehow. |
