Giving a shout out to "The Big Catch" in Bristol on the shores of Newfound Lake.
Great seafood, great service and a full service ice cream parlor right there on the premises...had clams and haddock which was superb! Usually very, busy at peak times but worth the trip! Great spot for a sunset dinner on Newfound!

Petey's in Rye is also pretty awesome,but in the lakes region Pops is # 1 !!!

Pop's may very, well have a great reputation for seafood in the region but this isn't a restaurant pissing contest, Mr Barefoot! It is simply restaurant reviews and experiences of forum members so that others may decide to try someplace they have never tried before.
Your, and everyone else's taste and experiences may differ greatly with mine so I'll take your statement with a grain of salt until I try Pop's for myself one day...and I believe Newfound Lake IS in the "Lakes Region" as well...Petey's definitely is not.

Sure...I'm all for it but Mr Barefoot made an out of line comment which I felt needed attention :D ;)

What was so out of line? In his opinion Pops is #1. There were no disparaging comments about anyone or any other establishment. Isnt that what we are supposed to do when reviewing a business or restaurant, give an opinion?

Because my post, on which he commented, had nothing to do with my review of The Big Catch...he attempted to nullify my review with a shameless, plug of Pop's....did he not?

Wow. You take this wayyyy to seriously. People plug restaurants and businesses here all the time. Especially when people ask for help or suggestions.

Well now, I asked for neither help nor suggestions and I do not take this site and it's subjects seriously at all...I made an honest post about a restaurant that I wanted to share with food lovers on here and he basically, crapped all over it.
I'm not in the habit of letting anyone "crap" on me be it here or in life.
Subject closed as far as I'm concerned!
Hmmm...now I have an idea for a flag for my tritoon...it's yellow and features a snake and a well known phrase..:D

You are a real piece of work. Lighten up Francis. You obviously have some type of issue with Pops. No one crapped on you it was an innocent post. Case closed.
