When we bought our place the propane lines to our fireplace were not to code. The fireplace guys had Wicked Cool Refrigeration in Laconia runs new lines for us and they did a very nice job. Assume they are still around.

Don Morin of Laconia

Installed my gas boiler, remove my gas hot water heater (now have on demand of the boiler), installed three lines, one to dryer, one to stove and one to fireplace. Fire Department inspected his work and agreed with me that it was a very clean and professional job.

The condo association insist on fire dept. inspection. Its free!

You need a licensed plumber to run a gas line.... just about any professional plumber will have the proper certifications.

I've been told that like electric, the homeowner can do their own. I don't believe it and wouldn't risk it even if I did.

For anyone dumb enough to try, you can shut off the gas easy enough but you need a special wrench to get it on again!
