Post-Ice-Event Cleanup
I know this is a contentious topic, and I'm not looking to place blame anywhere, but I'm wondering--given the last couple years of post-ice-event (hockey, fishing derby, etc.) complaints--if there are plans to be proactive about keeping trash out of the lake? I know there's the spring cleanup planned, but I'm interested to know if event organizers have added any steps or expectations to the process that would help keep the used areas clean.

I spent some time on the ice after the pond hockey event and was very impressed with the immaculate state the ice was left in. The event organizers went to great lengths to leave it in the same condition that it was found.

On Facebook, there is a Group, Lake Winnipesaukee Spring Clean-up, that has 200+ members, wanting to have a clean-up to make the boating safer once the ice is out. Tried to do a link to the page, with no success. Sorry.

Sounds great on the ice hockey approach--it seems to me that a "patrol" of the area before walking away would be all that's needed (well, in addition to people doing the right thing).
