For early October, it looks to me like lake level is fairly normal:

Phew

I am glad that the Lake is higher than last Fall: My boat was nestled in the sand at the end of last year, and lifting and sliding it to get it out was some work!

A fairly wet watershed and rain over the last two days should help keep it steady. It takes sometime after the rain to see anything on the gauge. I don't know if the dam flow rate is changing.

Im on waukewan and as of 2 weeks ago that lake was higher than it was in the spring. I can tell by my dock. I noticed Mill falls was still flowing but slowly. Last year they shut it down in August.

This is interesting... I know people that put their boats away weeks ago. They think it's too cold to swim, ski & surf...... But the lake water is warmer today, than it was during Bike Week in June....

June was a cold month!

It is funny. We get used to the warmth of summer and when it does begin to cool down, it feels colder to us.

Perfect

Lake level, water temp, air temp, wind velocity, amount of boat traffic and road traffic all are perfect and the bugs are gone. Best best time of the year on the lake.

We were out today; just beautiful on the lake but windy and a bit rough. I enjoy it like that, not so much with my wife but was still a great time. We were over by West Alton sandbar; thought we'd anchor for lunch. It looked very shallow and proved to be. Even trimmed up I was stirring sand, the depth showing just one and a half feet in spots. No one else was there which was one of the few time times I've ever seen it empty. We moved on and decided to tie up at the Weirs docks to have our picnic. Again, it seemed strange to be the only boat there; row after row of empty docks. I'm just glad the lake is full enough to enjoy at this time as compared to last year and pretty neat to have it almost all to ourselves!

Nice. If the lake is full of people and boats next fall, I'll blame you. I suppose you tell people about great fishing spots and great quiet coves to anchor, or raft, too. Fall is supposed to be a secret.
