Cars and Coffee
 

I know some of us forum folks enjoy Classic, Antique and Special interest autos. I'd like to put together a Cars and Coffee type event, where people can come together for a couple hours on a Saturday or Sunday morning. Any interest in this? I would put it on at my Garage in Meredith. Probably enough room for 25-30 cars. Let me know, we could plan something for May, and if there is enough interest maybe once a month?

Dad's got a Camaro convertible, and I've got a Mustang convertible--probably both be interested in checking out others' rides!

I'd sure love to stop by on a Saturday morning for a coffee. I try to take a hot rod or one of my bikes up to my place in Meredith most weekends. That sounds like lots of fun and awful nice of you to offer. If you do decide to try something I'd be happy to help out with the coffee and refreshments.

Ok, Looked at my calendar today. I would like to invite you all to come to Cars and Coffee on May 2nd Starts at 9am, probably wrap up by noon. This is not a show or a cruise night event. It is very simply a time for like minded people that enjoy Vehicles old and new of special interest. Could be a Model T Ford or a Ferrari. Please don't bring your show quality Dodge Caravan! :cool:
No awards, prizes or DJ's. Just cool cars and cool people. Oh and Coffee + Donuts. To be held at Finn's Garage 181 Waukewan St Meredith NH

Cruise nights
 

The Cars and Coffee sounds great (weather permitting :) ).

For those who don't already know.... there are usually weekly "Cruise Nights" as follows. I can confirm that the ones at the 104 Diner, the Tilt'n Diner and CJs happened last year. I can't confirm the Clarke Plaza one but it was advertised. Not sure if they will all happen again this year either.

Tuesday - Clarke Plaza (Wolfboro), 104 Diner (New Hampton)
Wednesday - Tilt'n Diner (Tilton)
Thursday- CJ Avery's (Laconia)

I also know that Buckey's in Moltonborough used to do one on Sunday afternoon but that was few years ago.

If anyone has info on Lake Region events in 2015, I would appreciate it.

I have not heard anything about clarke plaza this year. I remember hearing some search for a new organizer for this year, so...who knows.

The Yankee Smokehouse cruise ended prematurely last fall, we'll see if that happens.

Weather is still looking good! Look for our ad in Thursday and Friday Laconia Sun.

Bump as a reminder. Might not be able to make it--if we do, it'll be closer to noon. Had a tree taken down at camp and need to clean it up before we can have our first fire!

Kudos to Weirs Beach Boater! It was a terrific event with lots of good people and great cars! It's always enjoyable to meet car guys from different parts of the Lakes Region and even better when they're part of this forum. That's a great looking Nova you've got there Patman! Looking forward to the 6th! Now... what car, truck or bike to bring????

I work with many collectors, as a consultant. Assist in the sale and purchase of antique, classic and specialty vehicles. Do you have one for sale? I know many buyers looking!

I had a 1968 Dart GTS 340 4 speed, 1971 Challenger R/T 440 six pack 4 speed, 1973 Challenger Rallye 340 4 speed and last but not least 1970 'Cuda ragtop with Hemi auto. All great cars!

I will buy in a heart beat a 1968 Dart GTS 340 4 speed if the price is right. I will even do mild restoration. This is my favorite machine. A light car with a light motor. A joy to drive after swapping out the OEM anti-roll bars with stiffer aftermarket and replacing all the bushings with neoprene.

Anyone planning on going to the MOPAR Nats in Englishtown?

No, we have two old trucks a 34 and 39 done by Lowery and now are looking for a car, but a street rod with all new.

I know Jim real well. Come by the shop Sunday and introduce yourself, be happy to help you find what you are looking for.

How often do you have these, I just stumbled upon this forum from a new customer and didnt have access to post til today. We live right around the corner and would love to meet a few more classic car folks!

ok ill keep an eye on this thread and hopefully I will be home for the next one. I own a trucking co here in Sanbornton that specializes in enclosed transport for motorcycles and classic and exotic cars. Headed out next week with some Vettes and a MB and a bike to the midwest, then loading up a C2 Corvette collection going from Arkansas to VA, from there its off to Florida to gather up my remaining snowbird customers coming back to NH. Should be back before the end of the month if all goes well!

Saturday May 14th! Please bring your special vehicle. Last year we had everything from Model A Fords, to Ferrari. We do have limited parking for those that would just like to see the cars and trucks, but don't have one to bring. As always, this is a very social event, no pressure, no trophies, or loud music. Just like minded people enjoying cars and coffee! We do our best to park all cars so everyone can get out if they need to leave at any time. Starts at 9am usually lasts til 11 or 11:30. Last year we averaged 25 cars per month. I'd love to do 30 this season! Lot's of exciting things happening at the Garage. Swing on by to find out the details. Excellent, Good times great weather and about 25 cars from as far as Alton Bay, and Effingham. Many of the cars were from the immediate surrounding area. Plans to meet again June 11th. Hoping for 30!

I just joined the forum this week. I go by your shop every weekend to get to my house on Lake Waukewan. I've seen the cars there a few times. I hope you have it again next season. I have a 67 Corvette but I haven't brought it up to my house in Meredith yet. I will keep an eye on the forum for next summer. :)

I'm thinking of retiring soon and maybe moving up there full time. What kind of money could I make working part time, maybe 2 or 3 days a week, just to keep myself busy? What do they pay per hour in that part of NH? I have 45 years experience in Auto repair, the last 30 in business for myself.

I am probably not the best to answer this question, I am in sales, not the service end of the business. There are many small shops around, probably a few that would be happy to have a "fill in" or part time guy!

I attended my first 'cars and coffee' with my son-in-law last Saturday in Wallingford CT. It was not just about antiques and classics, it was about all things with wheels! Lots of tricked out late model vehicles as well as antique/classic has showed up. Even a food truck serving coffee and breakfast!

I say about 50 cars showed up, give or take as some arrive early and left early and some arrive late and left late.

The comradery was excellent! I can't wait to attend one nearby!

Sorry to all my forum family. So used to all the FB groups now, I neglected posting here! Our first event will be May 6th 9am. For more info, www.finnsgaragenh.com Also look for our ads in the Laconia Daily Sun. This season for more consistency the Cars and Coffee event will be the 1st Saturday of the Month, May- Sept.

Tomorrow's event is rain or shine. We will have the Coffee and Goody Good Donuts here, also a selection of our cars on display. If it's too rainy bring your daily driver and stop by!

Dennis, nice to get to meet you on Saturday. I'm going to try and bring my 67 Corvette to the next one.

The link just worked for me. FINN'S is on Waukewan St in Meredith.....closer to the Rte 104 end of the road.

While our largest presence is in the online community. Our Base of operations is visible in that google earth photo, the garage across from the arrow that says 181 Waukewan. Just off rte 104, 3rd building on left.

We are easy to find just off Rte 104, on the corner of Waukewan and Village Way. Follow the signs off 104. Dan the toy drive is explained in the Events page of the website www.finnsgaragenh.com But the readers digest is, I am collecting toys that will be donated to the Annual Lakes Region Children's Auction. Last year we donated over $500 in toys, and presented a check for an additional $500. I would like to beat that this year!
