So as I'm sitting on my deck sipping wine after a long day at work, a thought crossed my mind...how did all of you out there choose your forum names. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out where mine comes from, but I was just curious...

Was listening to the Grateful Dead when I signed up and chose Garcia over Jerry.

After my favorite aunt who I spend every summer with on Lake Wentworth.

Self explanatory

It's been so long that I actually cannot recall why I chose my idiotic pseudonym, and at 6'2" & 197-lbs I am definitely NOT fat! ..... :D ..... plus, after 25-years, circa-1997, I kinda like it. .... the name, fatlazyless! .... :) .... and there is absolutely NO DOUBT that I had a totally intelligent, reasonable, and economy minded reason why I chose it ...... you understand! ... blah-blah-blah! ..... ;)

And a 3 letter nickname!

Wonder where I live!!

I was characterizing my Lake experience when I signed up 18 years ago.

I’m here but no longer “new.” Each sunrise still reminds me of my good fortune.

And I have lived up to the saying at the bottom of my posts

I grew up summers on a small pond on Alton Mountain.

When I was a very young kid (5/6 years old) living in the city, on very hot summer days all of us would take off our shirts to try and get cool and would declare we were "tummymen"...so I became a 'tummyman here !

Posted the picture of my boat, so I thought that would be a good pen name.
True identity might set off flags with the IRS!

Our 1976 Slickcraft SS 235 was the family boat for 38 years. When we bought the Eastern, Dave Ewing sold the old boat for us and it then changed hands 2 0r 3 times. It now has a new owner who named it "The Spirit of 76" and it lives in Smith Cove.

Nick name I got while Working at Jackson Star, one of my co-workers could never remember my real name so he came up with Chachee and it stuck, and 52 is my favorite number, 10 more than the "ultimate answer to the ultimate question of the universe". Don't know why ten more was an important part, but that stuck too.

Coming up since 1946.
 

I was born in 1946, and that summer, my folks and I spent our vacation at Lake Shore Park at mom's uncle's place, the Wee Hoose. As I got old enough to talk, I had trouble saying Winnipesaukee, so I would ask if we were going 'Upthesaukee. Through the years, it became synonymous with coming up to the lake.

When we moved to NH in 1996 and moved in with Mom, within a day or two, she said "you don't have to go 'Upthesaukee, you live here now. "

Mom passed away in 2000 and when I joined the Forum a few years later, I could think of no better username than Upthesaukee.

It's now been 76 years and two boats later, and I'm still Upthesaukee!

I've am on a few other forums and a bunch of car forums and it made it easy to figure out I was the same guy posting on multiple places and I have an 06 GTO that was on nitrous that I used to drag race all over the east coast, so everyone knew I was the Juiced 06 GTO...

I was originally gonna use the pet name my wife gave me, but I didn't know if " youstupidf*** " would be appropriate for this forum ...

I used to go to Las Vegas a lot, thus "Mr. V."

Not that the pit bosses bowed and called me that (I wish they had, though).

Monday, June 6, 6:28-am; so The Dive has been spuds down at this Camp Lawrence, south Bear Island, forested shoreline since mid-day Friday, about 3-pm on June 3.

How long will it be there/here? Has The Dive enrolled itself as a summer camper for summer-2022 at https://camp.mvymca.org/camp-lawrence/ ..... :)

What a a wonderful and beautiful and fulfilling place to spend its' Dive summer on Lake Winnipesaukee.

Could The Dive become a long term Camp Lawrence camper, and return year after year, and always look forward to returning to this south Bear Island summer camp?

Hey there steve-on-mark ...... maybe you'll be wanting to change your name to steve-at-the-dive ..... :D ...... just looky here, what done did move on into this here neighborhood ovah the weekend?

You know I can see it very well from my little cottage on Meredith neck, and it really has some excellent visibility with that afternoon sun and setting sun shining down on that big white Dive box barge and the natural green forested shoreline, over there. Such an excellent location! Me-thinks it can be very comfy, there ...... a new home for The Dive?
